Ryu from “Street Fighter” water colour.
Bought some Street FIghter Comics that were on sale the other day and that got me playing “Super Street IV 3D Edition” on my Nintendo 3DS again. So after putting some solid hours into some 3D work today I decided to whip this bad boy up. Truth be told I don’t particularly care for Ryu but I wasn’t going to not do the franchise’s most iconic character. I’m actually kind of terrible at SF regardless.
Turned out pretty decent I reckon, used some game art I found online (I think it was official) as reference so I dug the basic pose at least.
“Street Fighter” is property of Capcom.
The character I’ve been working on for the last while is finally fully modeled and rigged. The Specular map and the shader needs some work and possibly bump mapping (Might just go with a normal map made from the High-res sculpt) but the diffuse alone is working quite well if you ask me. Blend shapes will come at a later date hopefully but as of now I can finally get to some cycled animation with him.
Done in: Autodesk Maya, Z-Brush, and Adobe Photoshop.
All assets…. MINE!
Working on the good Ol’ El Camino. Satisfied with the general shape and I’m planning on how to get the front bumper and vents to my satisfaction but he’s coming along. Not bad for essentially two days of work.
I put it in smooth preview for now but it looks pretty solid in it’s true state as well and the topology’s solid
In honour of very well being the first guy on tumblr to dig “Teen Titans Go!” I present two water colour doodles of two of the Teen Titans.
I think the new show is solid enough and getting a lot of undeserved hate from folk. Personally two episodes in and I’m digging it more than the 2003 series. Unlike that series I do not foresee TTG! having an identity crisis every two episode and being unable to find a consistent tone.
Some jokes fell flat and the dialogue’s not great but I think there’s a lot of good in this series if people give it a shot, and stop comparing it to the 2003 series. Powerpuff Girls is far more fair comparison.

Water Colour doodles are mine.
Interestingly enough originally I was going to draw Iron Man after seeing the latest Film.
So after a photoshop crash in which I lost the better part of an hour of work I decided to break out the Water colour pencils again! I’m starting to get the hang of water colours I think, the key is to not over do it. Used a Black Brush Marker for the inks.
